Prayer is an important part of our relationship with God; it is how He communicates with us. It is a way for us to receive instruction and encouragement in our daily lives, to help others in need, and to pray for those who don't know Him.

Jesus said in Matthew 21:13, “My house will be called a house of prayer...” When you go to an Italian Restaurant, you should expect Italian food. When you go to the house of the Lord, you should expect prayer.

Our Church is a house of prayer. Believing in the power of prayer, we set aside a brief time before each service to pray for God’s will to be done in the lives of those attending. We invite you to either join in with us or to simply allow the atmosphere of prayer to prepare your heart for the presence of God.
Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. God’s Word says:

  • Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8
  • Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Thus believing in the power and importance of prayer in addition to the pre-service prayer our church has the following prayer times available:

Intercessory Prayer

As part of each worship service, there is opportunity to come to the altars at the front of the sanctuary for a special time of intercessory prayer led by the Pastor. If you wish to represent a need of your own or of someone else, or have a song of praise in your heart, please feel welcome to come forward and kneel during the singing of the prayer chorus.

Before Service Prayer

Before each service we join together in the prayer room to pray over our congregation, new visitors, and our Pastor. This also gives you the perfect opportunity to prepare yourself to receive what God has for you in the service.

Healing Prayer

To stand with you in agreement on any area of your life that may need healing whether it is physical, spiritual, or emotional. If you wish to have the Pastor and church leaders pray for healing of a specific need, please contact the Pastor.

God loves you and wants you to experience His peace, power, and presence through prayer.
