The role of the Missions Council is to increase knowledge and understanding of the international work of the Church of the Nazarene in the 162 world areas that the church serves in. This is done by:
-
hosting missionaries that are traveling on deputation in B.C. and giving them an opportunity to present their work in a Sunday morning or mid-week service,
-
distribution of the missions reading books which are published each year,
-
maintaining a bulletin board showing news items from the field,
-
using video, drama and other tools to promote the cause of missions.
The local NMI President and Council are elected at the annual meeting of the local church.
