WHAT TO EXPECT
When you arrive for the service, you’ll park in any parking lot and use the main entrance. As you enter the doors of the church, you will be greeted by a friendly person who will be able to show you where you need to go. If you have children with you, we have several opportunities for them as well and we will be able to tell you all of the options you have for your visit. When you enter the front doors, you’ll be given a copy of the week’s announcements and some information about today’s service. This has useful information for first time guests.
You’ll notice that everyone is dressed comfortably, in anything from "office casual" to jeans and sneakers. If you arrive early, you’re welcome to join us for a cup of coffee. Members usually spend a few minutes before or after services to greet each other. There is also a break in mid-service to give everyone an opportunity to greet one-another.
You can make your way in and sit anywhere you feel comfortable. There will be some music playing before the service starts and you’ll have plenty of time to settle in and enjoy the service. The service usually begins with some upbeat music. Our services feature lively music, preaching, special music, drama on occasion, video and multi-media presentations, and much more. We are sure you will enjoy your time in worship.
Most people wonder if there will be something they will have to do during the service. Really we only ask one thing of you. We ask everyone who attends, guests and members alike, to fill out an attendance card. It’s our way of making sure we have some form of contact with everyone who worships with us.
Once you fill out the attendance card, hang onto it and when the offering is taken later in the service, you can just drop it in the offering plate that gets passed down your row. Please don't ever feel obligated to give money during the service. The offering is for those who are part of the church family.
We’ll close the service about 90 minutes after it began; the services will close with the benediction, which is simply a prayer for those present. I hope you’ll come up and introduce yourself afterwards. Our welcome desk, located near the main entrance, has a brochure about the church for you to pick up after services. Please stop by and say hello.
After the service, we hope you’ll stay around, meet some people and enjoy some more coffee. Church is about God and worship, but it’s also about community and friendship, so we hope people really experience warmth and friendliness.
That’s about it. People constantly tell us that they really felt comfortable - "at home" are the words we hear most frequently. If you don't yet have a church home, we hope you’ll stop by this Sunday. And if you do, please come down and say hi, and tell us that you found out about our church on the Internet.
Should you have any other questions regarding your visit, please feel free to call the church office and ask to speak to one of our staff members who should be able to answer any questions that you might have.
We look forward to meeting you!
